Super Early Bird Registration for the 3rd Annual Empire Conference in Albany NY is now open. April 11-14, 2012.

We have a number exciting new programs and tracks for this years conference.

"TRANSGENERATIONS: Issues of Trans Youth, Trans Seniors and Everyone In Between" is our theme this year, and you'll find programs for everyone! Programs for partners and family of transgender, voice specialists, makeup specialists, surgeons, therapists, transgender legal experts, and more!

Following on the heels of our well received 'Big Sisters' Program last year, we are expanding that program. Lady Ellen of Le Femme Finishing School will be providing programs each day for those who have never, or don't often get the opportunity, to express their desired gender identity.

Our shopping trip to Crossgates Mall (available to everyone) is to provide those who are uncomfortable, or can't, shop close to home. You'll be accompanied by several seasoned mall shoppers who will be ready to make suggestions and give advice.

Super Early Bird Registration includes all activities from Wednesday to Saturday: All Workshops and Forums, A Guided Shopping Tour to nearby Crossgates Mall, All Conference Meals, a Brewery Tour with Dinner, and a possible excursion to Saratoga Racetrack and Casino, a Weds night Welcoming Reception hosted by The Capital District Pride Center, our Friday Night Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre and our Saturday Gala and Debutante Ball.

This Super Early Bird package, available from September 15 - December 15, 2011 is only $184.50. THIS IS A GREAT BARGAIN! This offer cannot be transferred or assigned to another person.

Please stop by our website! Bookmark it and Register very soon as this terrific money saving opportunity can't last forever.

Call for Presenters and Workshop Leaders!
for TransEvent 2012 — The Empire ConferenceTransEven tsUSA is accepting proposals for presentations and workshops for the 2012 Empire Conference, which will be serving the Transgender Community in all its diversity April 12-14, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in historic downtown Albany, New York. Our featured theme is TransGenerations—Transgender Issues of Youth and the Elderly and All In Between. We hope you will consider participating in our educational program.

In addition to presentations relating to directly to the theme, we are especially looking for programs that examine ways of changing the perception of Transgender through Education, Advocacy and Lobbying. Almost any topic that addresses the concerns of Transsexuals, Crossdressers, Partners of Trans people, Trans couples, and children of Trans people will be welcome.

Past conference attendees have also expressed interest for more information on Transgender Health, Medicine, and Legal issues. And sessions focused on Trans people in relationships are desired for those attending either with or without their partners.

It is expected that there will once again be significant participation from the Female-to-Male community, so their issues and concerns need to be addressed. We hope to have a full program track for FtMs.

We welcome proposals that can give us all a new slant on creating more unity in the Transgender Community—in both the political and social realms. New ideas and new faces are particularly welcome at the Empire Conference. Be creative! We look forward to learning about the new and exciting programs you can bring to this eager audience.

Submit your proposal as soon as possible, but no later than the November 15, 2011 deadline, to insure space and schedule availability. Use the online Program Proposal Form.

Your proposal will include a brief biography, a brief program description, any A/V needs, as well as contact information. Let us know if you are planning a panel presentation, so we can get in touch with you about biographies and contact information for your panelists. If panelist information is not received in a time, it cannot be included in the program listings.

We offer a complimentary conference day to each presenter or panel moderator only. (Unless it is a special invited panel.) You will need to complete a conference registration if your program is accepted. If you have questions regarding your proposal, contact Alison Laing, Program Chair, at , or P.O. Box 473, Portsmouth, RI 02871-0475.
